What is DNS?
Short for Domain Name Server, DNS, is an internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Domain names are alphabetic, hence, easier to remember. However, the internet is based on IP Addresses. So, a DNS Server must translate the domain name into the corresponding IP address.
Many of us face problems with our internet connections such as frequent disconnections, long time to load a page and the most usual 'Page cannot be displayed' error. One of the root cause for these problems is the downtime of the DNS servers that we are using. So, here we have OpenDNS.
