Google Image Search made easy

Google, considering the rise of the new rivals, has made some welcome changes in its overall search features. Today we are going to see how they revamped the Google Image Search feature by redesigning its interface. Although the tweaking is very slight, it has been done keeping the ergonomics in mind and will be very handy to users. Let’s see what has changed.

1) The ‘SafeSearch’ option now appears just below the search textbox. Ergonomically, this is a superb move. No more going though the ‘Advanced Preferences’ just to change a ‘SafeSearch’ criteria.

2) A new ‘Show/Hide Options’ criteria is added (as shown above) which allows users to filter results as per their choice.

3) Users can now dynamically filter down images in wide range of sizes. For example, the option ‘Icon’ will show image results which are square and usually having dimensions not more than 72 sq. pixels. Where as the ‘Larger than…’ option allows user to filter image results up to 70MP (9600x7200).

4) Want an image that has human faces in it? No problem. Just click ‘Face’ option and you will be shown only those images that have human faces in it. Same for clip arts and line drawings.

5) You can filter images based upon the colors in them by ‘Specific color’ option.

Your laptop is fragile. Protect it now.
